Teen Sex and the Education of Health Reproductive in School

Abstrack:

This paper will review about adolescent reproductive health education for the students at the school. Adolescent reproductive health problems, sons and daughters, turn into a problem that must be addressed early, so teenagers can avoid things that can threaten the health of reproductive organs. The age between 13-19 years old of adolescents is a phase when teenagers are still at the level of junior high school (SMP) and upper (SMA). Meanwhile, the complaints about the girls of reproductive organs are more often perceived than boys. The cases occurred in Indonesia about sexuality among students and such, student of junior high school at Surabaya to be pimps and child prostitutes (06/2013), a sex gathering of students at Situbondo (12/2012), a junior high school students is impregnated by her facebook friend (08/2012), a student of senior high school has a two months baby (06/2012), a senior high school students at Seluma gave birth after midterm exam (10/2012), a vocational high school (SMK) at Ponorogo gave birth in the toilet, and many other cases. The pattern of adolescent reproductive health education for the students at the school most often held by various parties that will be presented in this paper. One of them included the material of Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) to the Guidance and Counseling services (BK) in class, and takes the lessons on Biology, the lessons on Health and Sport, and the lessons on Religion in class. Through the establishment of Information and Counseling Center (PIK) at school to realize Teens Steadfast (Remaja Tegar), which encourages students to prevent getting infected diseases of reproductive organs and to refrain from sexual intercourse before marriage. read more

Evaluation of Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) Program in the Prison (A Study inClass IPrison of Surabaya)

Abstrack:

Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) is one of the efforts of prison to minimize the risk of HIV/AIDS on injecting-drug-user prisoners. There, however, are still obstacles in the implementation of the program. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the VCT in Surabaya Prison Class I. This study uses qualitative and quantitative method. The samples to evaluate the VCT program among officer; Clinical Officers who carry out VCT, NGOs, and the four IDU prisoners, are selected using the purposive sampling. The representative number of samples to describe prisoner?s characteristic and risk factor of HIV/AIDS from behavior aspect are 60 prisoners. The data was collected through filling out the questionnaire and from depth interview. The results were analyzed by qualitative descriptive narration. The result of this study is to answer what the major behavioral factors that leads the injectingdruguser prisoners into HIV/AIDS; injecting drug use behaviors, unsafe sexual behavior, or tattooing. However, the evaluation of VCT was not performed well. In terms of input, the human resources sector and source of funds and independent laboratory facilities were deemed less. On the process aspects, the sector of pre- and post-test counseling and support programs was still not optimal. In the aspect of output, an indicator to measure the success of VCT, patient satisfaction questionnaire coverage and effort to VCT client was still not implemented. It is necessary to enhance the implementation of VCT and to realize a program especially for drug-user prisoners to prevent and control the transmission of HIV/AIDS such as Harm Reduction program. read more

The Threat and Challeng of Social Capital and Primary Resources Utilization Toward Integrated Frontier Area Management in Indonesia

Abstrack:

The emerging of national strategies for human and natural resources in frontier area werestill concerned in spreading of high population to low and minimizing the local resources utilization. The mainstreaming of social capital and primary resources would be important in the development to gain the integrated frontier area management framework. The aim of this research is to identify the role of social capital and primary resources in frontier area management and to identify the threat and challange then. The some previous research and legal regulations are the important review. The focus areas are consist of some provinces in national boundary such as Riau Island, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and others. The social capital as the main infrastructure of society development is expected as accelerator development between the local culture dynamics and diversity. The primary resources management in there is also expected to emerge as a new national growth pole in spite of the lack of infrastructure services and natural challange could be the determination factor of the development. read more

Public Perception of the Cave Tour Extension Object Pindul, Bejiaharjo Village, Karangmojo District, Gunungkidul Regency

Abstrack:

Pindul is a cave which is currently managed by the community and a source of new income. The currently management of the cave is still often a conflict in society because Indonesia does not have a standard of cave operating management procedure. This study aims to assess the community participation and formulate the impact that felt by people towards development of Pindul tourism. The method is carried out by questionnaires interview with the locals. The samples are purposive random sampling method against 30 respondents, around Pindul cave. The composition of respondents is farmers, managers, guides, traders, home stay providers, and housewives. The analysis of community participation based on the samples? socio- economic differences in the character of the community, such as age, gender, educational level, marital status, occupation, income, and residential status. Based on the data obtained, the respondents who expressed strongly agree and agree with the Pindul development as a tourist attraction are 97%; respondents who agree and strongly agree to public participation in promotional activities are 97%; respondents who agree and strongly agree to public participation in are 93% facilities provision; respondents who agree and strongly agree that Pindul could boost the economy are 100%; respondents who agree and strongly agree the community’s role in protecting the environment are 97%. The positive impact of tourism activities in the Pindul region, according to respondents, is to create jobs, to reduce the number of juvenile delinquency and drug abuse among teenagers, to increase people’s knowledge, to belong and unify the community, to increase public awareness to protect the environment, and to develop the local culture. On the other hand, the negative impacts that must be avoided is that there is a lot of competition among travel managers, travelers noise, fatigue affects employees mental and spiritual, the entry of foreign culture, a lot of waste, and damage to access roads. read more

Show Cave Management as A Part of Community- Based Tourism (CBT) in Pindul Cave, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta

Two years after being converted from wild cave into show cave, Pindul Cave, one of the most famous show caves in Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta is still considered not steady enough to serve as such a highly-visited tourist object. On the other hand, the existence of this cave as a tourist destination has significantly contributed to the economic activities of the local community. Based on the five principles/indicators proposed by UNEP & WTO, tourism activities in Pindul Cave belong to the community-based tourism including its management. At first, there is only one management responsible for managing Pindul Cave as a tourist object but today there are five managements that are altogether engaged in the tourism activities in the cave. Effect on the Formation of Quality Infrastructure for Rice Price

Abstrack:

Rice is a basic commodity for the majority of the Indonesian population. With the characteristics of different regions, there is a surplus and deficit conditions of the commodity that causes the flow of commodities between regions. Road transportation plays an important role in the transport of goods between regions commodities, especially inside the islands. This study intends to examine the effect of road quality against rice prices in Indonesia. In addition to road conditions, the characteristics of the area are reviewed as well as producing region or not, assuming the surplus area will have a lower price level because transport distances closer. Analysis tool used is the econometric approach, with price as the dependent variable and condition of road infrastructure as well as the characteristics of the area as a regional staple surplus or deficit as the independent variable. The data used are cross section data in the provincial base. The model will be analyzed with a structured approach to Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Model is selected which has the best value of testing by testing first-order test (R2 value, the value of t). The results showed that the stable of road infrastructure has a significant role in reducing the cost of delivery of rice compared to unstable conditions, by a margin of Rp1, 988 per km. Stable road infrastructure will also enhance the competitiveness of f the production areas, so as to reduce the price of Rp532,91 per kg compared to Rp275,657 in production areas with road conditions are not stable. read more

Tetean? Spaces Culture on the Coastal Communities in Central Sulawesi

Abstrack:

Central Sulawesi has the longest coastlines in Sulawesi and consists of the coastal and the small islands that occupied by communities. In community life, cultures factor important role in the establishment of settlements, especially on the settlement areas with a specific and unique characteristics. The coastal communities are a group or communities with unique culture traditions, mostly inhabited the coastal settlement in the coastal areas and the small islands. Cultural uniqueness is reflected on their settlement with reflection of the characteristics on the function and the form. Concerning various aspects of the local culture including the cultural and hereditary character passed down from generation to generation. The study was conducted with qualitative approach of phenomenology by way of data retrieval of naturalistic and the inductive analysis techniques. Coastal settlements inhabited by families or groups who have family ties. They are known as the sailors with the main livelihood as a fisherman. Therefore, they build a settlement in the water or near the water. Composed of residential the settlement with the houses on stilts form, use the wood materials which partly or wholly on the water. The main orientation was the sea so that staying house to have a two-way street toward the sea and as a public space and social space. Each unit of houses neighborhood and connected with the street or standing in the water tetean. Tetean are made of wood and use the wooden pillars that plug into the water (the sea). Tetean not only as an access, but the multi-purpose space, where a ‘tetean’ used as play space, relationship space, event space (circumcision, marriage, school ceremonies, etc.), space to work and make a living. These activities support the cultural life of coastal communities. The local culture of coastal communities is very instrumental in the establishment of the settlements, especially in the form, the order of settlements and neighborhood as well as supporting elements. read more

A Disclosure of Memory about Soeharto In Detik Magazine 68th edition

Abstrack:

New order era in Soeharto?s regime is considered to be repressive and authoritative along with cases of human rights violation and pressure for information freedom. Three media had been banned at that time in 1994, which were Tempo, Detik and Editor because the news was considered to jeopardize national stability. After Soeharto?s fall in 1998, Detik reappeared in the new form and this time in Detik magazine 68th edition, entitled Mimpi Membangkitkan Soeharto, there is news which specially discusses Soeharto figure and memory about him. By using Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis method and Foucault?s theory of discourse, in description level, it is found that there are kinds of practices in marginalizing Soeharto known by informants? choice, comparison to President Soekarno, mentioning Soeharto?s name without President title and negative data about him which are not balanced with positive data during Soeharto?s regime. In interpretation level, it is found that there is a discourse practice from media agent, especially Detik owner, Budiono Darsono who was Detik journalist in new order era when that magazine was banned. In explanation level, background of President General Election preparation 2014 also shapes Soeharto discourse in the text, such as Soeharto poster greeting people is used Republik Satu party for its political interest in President General Election preparation 2014. Also, phenomenon of longing Soeharto shapes discourse of text known by Indo Barometer survey about Indonesian people responses of Indonesian Presidents in old order, new order until reformation era which results Soeharto as the most favorite President. read more

Reflecting on the current development, a synergy between government and corporations are incredibly needed in promoting a more sustainable condition. In this extent, the notion of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is expectedly playing an important role in overcoming some negative effects as a result of the current economic activities. Social discrepancies as well as ecological destruction can also be minimized by involving corporations in handling such obstacles, as an integral part of their business activities. This paper is aimed to evaluate the role of CSR in the current development of Indonesia, in the realm of human-environment. Being designed for bridging the gap between business activities and social impacts, CSR can also be considered as a practical action for corporate in implementing the basic understanding on business ethics. Waste Charity Management in Bantul, Yogyakarta

Abstrack:

Waste charity (shodaqoh sampah) in Hamlet Salakan, Potorono, Regency Bantul, Yogyakarta, is a modification of waste management based on 3 R (reuse, reduce, recycle) by adding theology element approach. The system of waste charity there are five systems which are synergy each other to back up the process of waste charity, they are: sorting, collection, sales, result usage, and reporting. From those five systems are driven by three elements which include waste charity management agency then giver charity and the last is a waste collector or buyer. The purpose of this study is to investigate the phenomena that occur in Salakan as well as identify problems in waste charity management. The research is descriptive qualitative that emphasizes the interpretation of the phenomena that arise in the society as object then analyzed and interpreted. Results of the study can be summarized as follows, in early beginning society in Salakan was really apathetic and less concerned to waste, later on society started to shift the paradigm and waste charity movement influenced the mindset and outlook of people about waste, finally they realized to manage waste properly. Sorting management, sales, and reporting result of waste charity running quite well although there are technical problems in the field such as facilities in the form of three types of waste containers made of sacks (consist of sack for metal, plastic, paper) are not fully utilized by the society. They prefer direct throw to the dustbin. The potential waste charity movement when it?s moved massively and systematically will raise public awareness to manage waste, creative economy as well as as embrio eco tourism village. read more
